Armin E. Hamann, 81, of O’Fallon, IL, born November 23, 1933, in Rural Belleville, IL, died Thursday, May 7, 2015.

Mr. Hamann loved the sport of horseshoes and pitched in several leagues.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Armin was preceded in death by his son, William “Billy” Lewis; a grandson, Jerrod Black; his parents, Elmer and Emma, nee Fries, Hamann; twin brothers, in infancy; and two sisters, Dorothy Elless and Viola Tiberend.

Surviving are his four children, Sandy Herzog,
Diana Lewis,
Lori (James) Mustain,
and James (Carrie) Hamann;
special friend, Sharon Moran,
and her children, Kelly (Andy) Hanselman,
Kerry Engler,
and Denny (Laura) Moran;
four brothers, Kenneth Hamann,
Harold (Joyce) Hamann,
Ralph (Jeannie) Hamann,
and Leroy (Judy) Hamann;
numerous grandchildren;
great-grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Pastor Sid West officiating.  Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

Our Grandpa was kind and quiet and gentle. He always manged to make to family gatherings and loved to play euchre with us at Thanksgiving. His bright eyes and warm smile will be missed by all of us. He remains alive in all our hearts.
