Audrey L. Margerum, nee Kias, 96, of Belleville, IL, born August 3, 1920, in Coulterville, IL, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Margerum was a member of Union United Methodist Church for 50 years. She attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Audrey worked for the Carbondale Free Press in Carbondale, IL. She was an avid gardener, pet lover, and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Vincent S. Margerum, whom she married on May 3, 1946, and who died on April 14, 1995; a son, Dale Margerum; five brothers, Keith Clarence Kias, George Warren Kias, Willis Leon Kias, Thomas Nelson Kias and Lester Hunter Kias.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol L. Margerum of Effingham, IL;
a son, Michael A. Margerum of Oviedo, FL;
three grandchildren, Jake McGuire Margerum, Sydney Skye Margerum,
and Tesslynn Ariana Margerum;
and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Harvey Gaither officiating.
Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
