Charlie H. Pees, Sr., 54, of Belleville, IL, born October 14, 1963, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, January 8, 2018, at his residence in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Pees worked for Harmony School District 175 for 24 years as a custodian. He was a member of the Villa Hills Sons of the American Legion Post 1255 and was a sportsman who loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry H. Sr. and Dorothy E., nee Santel, Pees; a brother, Henry H. Pees, Jr.; and a sister, Carol Tremaine.

Surviving are two sons, Charlie H. Jr. (fiancée Brittney Schumer) Pees, and Cody Pees of Edwardsville, IL;
a daughter, Claire Pees of Freeburg, IL;
his fiancée, Mary Phelps of Belleville, IL;
two grandchildren, Kinsley Pees, and Konnor Daly;
and two sisters, Cathy Pees of Tyler, TX, and Cindy Pees of Red Bud, IL.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery., Belleville, IL.
