Clif M. Metze, 57, of Belleville, IL, born December 11, 1957, in Belleville, IL, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, with family and friends by his side.

Clif was an avid outdoorsman and knife collector.  He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time at his clubhouse in Southern Illinois with his friends.  He was a long-time employee of Industrial Gas, Sauget, IL.

Surviving are his parents, Kenneth and Carolyn, nee Veath, Metze of Belleville, IL;
three brothers, Gary (Carrie) Metze of Troy, IL,
Brian (Sandy) Metze of Belleville, IL,
and Todd (Kim) Metze of Belleville, IL;
nieces and nephews, Michael (Terra),
Garin (Sierra),
Amanda (Anthony),
Kyle,
Natalie (Tory);
great-nieces;
and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.   Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. The family requests friends attend in casual dress.

Funeral:  A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015, at the funeral home.

Ken & Carolyn: Had the pleasure of playing golf with Cliff. Played with the Monday Golf League, and on golf trips. Cliff could hit the ball a long way, that was the good news. Bad news was you never knew where the ball was going. I was no better, two of a kind.
