Clara A. Ziolkowski

Clara A. Ziolkowski, nee Karpowicz, 94, of Belleville, IL, born October 31, 1913, in Madison, IL, died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Rosewood Care Center, Swansea, IL.  

 

Mrs. Ziolkowski was a bookkeeper and a housewife. She had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Madison, IL, where she was also a member of the PTO.  She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Evansville, IN, and the PTO and the Quilters Club at the church.  Clara was inducted into The Brute Society, Diocese of Evansville, IN, on November 18, 2001.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Ziolkowski, whom she married June 1, 1940, and who died November 22, 1995;

her son, Edmund Ziolkowski;

her parents, Anthony and Mary, nee Pero, Karpowicz;

and a brother, Leonard Karpowicz.



She is survived by her daughter, Marie ?Margaret? Ziolkowski;

a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Virginia Karpowicz;

a sister-in-law, Margarite Karpowicz;

and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of Masses; to the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, 9480 N. DeMazenod Dr., Belleville, IL 62223; or to the St. Theresa Parish Fund, 600 Herndon Drive, Evansville, IN.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.



Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Apartment Community Chapel, Belleville, IL.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Apartment Community Chapel, Belleville, IL, with Father David E. Kraus, O.M.I., officiating.



Visitation will also be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2008, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Evansville, IN, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass with Father David Kraus, O.M.I., officiating and Deacon Dave Seibert assisting.



Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Evansville, IN.
