Charles R. Travous
Charles R. Travous, 79, of Belleville, IL, born February 10, 1926, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, June 6, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Travous was a U.S. Marine Corporal in the Middle Pacific during World War II.
He was a member of the VFW Post 1728.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary "Carmie", nee Duffy, Travous;
his second wife, Shirley, nee Haywood, Travous;
and his parents, Charles E. and Adele, nee Dietz, Travous.
He is survived by two sons, Gregory A. Travous of Belleville, IL, and Chad (Carol Ann) Travous of Seabring, FL;
two daughters, Jody (Jim) Nee of Eagan, MN, and Jamie (David) Maul of Swansea, IL;
five grandchildren, Carly and Cole Maul, and Cassidy, Alex and Molly Nee;
and a sister, Shirley (Wally) Dever of Norwalk, CT.
Charlie will always be remembered by his family and friends for his smile, songs and
stories, and for living each day to the fullest.
