Robert Pfister

Robert Carl Pfister, 96, of Belleville, IL, born January 17, 1921, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, January 27, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Pfister retired from Emerson Electric after working 36 years as an electrical engineer.  He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, and the Holy Name Society at the church.  He also served on the Pastoral Council and on the board of directors at both the St. Henry Creative Learning Center and the Diocesan Board of Education.  Robert was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte, nee Bauer, Pfister, whom he married October 13, 1951, and who died January 3, 2012; his parents, Carl and Emilie, nee Sauer, Pfister; and four sisters, Elfrieda Liljequist, Carolyn Kazulis, Irma Taylor, and Louise Eddy.

Surviving are his daughter, Kathy (Bill) Mueller of Millstadt, IL;
and two grandchildren, Melanie (Nathan) Knop of Belleville, IL,
    and Robert Mueller of O’Fallon, IL.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Henry Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Kenneth York officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
