Frank S. Keeser, 93, of Belleville, IL, born December 15, 1923, in Lakewood, OH, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Dammert Geriatric Center, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Keeser worked for the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis as a machinist and was a past member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 308. He was a square dance caller and cuer, and a member of numerous square and round dance professional organizations and clubs. Frank was an active member of Christ United Church of Christ, a RSVP volunteer for the American Association of Retired Persons, and a United States WWII Navy veteran who served and was involved in the Okinawa invasion landing and Normandy D-Day invasion.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan, nee Hartell, Keeser, who died on December 27, 1996; his parents, Frank Sr. and Mary, nee Knapman, Keeser; a sister, Agnes Willeford; and a niece, Jo Ellen Thompson.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jo, nee Ax, Halvachs Keeser, whom he married on November 28, 1997;
a nephew, Johnny Thompson;
two great-nieces and a great-nephew,
Kim, Stacy, and Seth (Tonya) Thompson;
a great-great-niece, Raven Thompson;
four step-children, Robert (Martha) Halvachs,
Paul (Melanie) Halvachs, Fred (Yvonne) Halvachs,
and Tom (Valorie) Halvachs;
and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Keeser family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the Caseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Dammert Geriatric Center for their loving care and support.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL with Rev. Jon Tinge officiating.
Entombment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
