We will miss our dear uncle and friend. There are so many memories we have of him. I remember playing baseball as a kid and uncle and my dad would take turns pitching and catching while us kids batted and fielded and ran the bases. I remember the boat at the lake that he drove that I first learned to water ski. I remember the camping trips. I remember all the building projects and watching my cousins get this tool or that tool that was needed. I remember the homemade ice cream that we all enjoyed. As an adult, I remember him helping to tear off the back porch of our house. I remember his sense of humor, his nicknames for my dad and aunt. His telling of stories of my dad and mom after their funerals that made us all laugh and cry at the same time. Mostly I remember his hugs and kisses that made you feel cherished and loved.
Our thoughts and prayers are with my cousins and their families and Aunt Rita and we wish you peace.
