Irving W. Burdess, 88, of Belleville, IL, born December 29, 1926, in Peoria, IL, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Burdess was a concrete finisher for the Caterpillar Corporation, retiring after 25 years of service. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, a World War II Navy veteran and a 60 years member of the American Legion.
Irving was preceded in death by his wife Frances M., nee Wuest, Burdess; his parents, Irvin J. and Sarah, nee Williams, Burdess; and a sister, Elsie Schafer.
Surviving are his daughter, Victoria Burdess of Belleville, IL;
one brother, Robert Burdess;
and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Shiloh, IL, with Msgr. James Margason officiating.
