Janel graduated from the Hickey Business School in St. Louis, Missouri, and worked at Weber Chevrolet, Columbia, IL. A member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, Janel was a generous, religious, family-oriented, true and faithful servant who was called home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald Albert and Dolores Ann, nee Feltrop, Hoffmann; a sister, Linda Ann Vogel; and an aunt, Wilma Lee Hoffmann.
Surviving are six brothers and sisters, John Albert (Mary Therese) Hoffmann of Belleville, IL, Susan Louise (John) Oerter of Waterloo, IL, Gregory Arnold (Marne) Hoffmann of Belleville, IL, Ann Michele (Jeffrey) Swafford of Belleville, IL, Lisa Marie (Daniel) Baldus of Belleville, IL, and James Farrel Hoffmann of Belleville, IL;
a brother-in-law, Dennis Vogel of Johnson City, TN;
and multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. A recitation of the rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. William McGhee officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
