Janice was a telephone operator for AT&T for 35 years and retired in December,1994. She attended of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Belleville, IL. Janice was a member of the Fairview Heights Garden Club and the Telephone Pioneers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edna, nee Beck, Waeltz; a sister, Doris McPhail, and a brother, Warren “Bud” Waeltz.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Alice Waeltz;
three nieces, Paulette (Frank) Dwyer, Cindy Sue Waeltz and Nancy (Don) Knapp;
two cousins, Donna (Bud) Rippelmeyer, and Carol (Glenn) Musial;
three great-nieces, Brittany (Ryan) Leyland, Kalie (Ryan) McCullough, and Allison Knapp;
a great-nephew, Alexander Knapp;
and one great-great nephew, Nolan Leyland.
Janice’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at both St. Paul’s Home, Belleville, and Saint Louis University Hospital.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Reverend James Slone officiating.
Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
