I want the family too know I am writing in behalf of my sister Georgia Rose (Reichert) McCurdy. Joan was her best friend in high school at NDA. She was there when Joan lost a child to traffic in front of home. His sister is married to the son of a Great Family who were friends of our family and Jack was a role model for me . She led a life well lived and I am sure she will be blessed.

It was with great sadness that I read of Joan's passing. I was privileged to be able to bring her Holy Communion last Sunday at Charles Gardens. Joan was a ray of sunshine to all at Charles Gardens with her kind and loving ways, truly living out her Christianity each day in her own unique way. Such a beautiful lady! I will certainly miss her. My sympathy to you, her family, on your loss. Sincerely, Esther Reardon, representative of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fairview Heights, IL

My deepest sympathies to you for your loss. Joan was quite a woman. She was so strong and such a classy lady. Two of her many strengths were her caring for others and her honesty above all else. I considered her and Les close friends and I had so much respect for both. She will be missed.
