Joyce L. Baechle, nee Dunn, 76, of Swansea, IL, born December 28, 1938, in Belleville, IL, took the hand of her Savior and left the world of darkness and entered into a world of peace, joy and beauty, Saturday, June 27, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Baechle was retired from the board of Realtors. She was owner and operator of Twice Around retail shop in Belleville.

Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael Baechle, whom she married on April 26, 1974, and who died on January 13, 1997; a grandson, Jacob Mayer; her parents, Thomas and Agnes, nee Lynch, Dunn; a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Dunn; a sister, Myrtle Leemon; a brother-in-law, Thomas Darnell; and two nieces, Dawn Daubach and Dottie Wecker.

Surviving are her daughter, Denise Cummins-Mayer and her husband, Louis;
a granddaughter, Amanda Mayer;
and two sisters, Emma Reichert and Virginia Darnell.

The Family would like to thank all of the extended family and friends for their love, help, support and prayers.  A special thanks to Hospice of Southern Illinois and MedEx Pharmacy.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, and from 9:00 to 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL

Funeral:  Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Kenneth York and Rev. James Blazine concelebrating.  Entombment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum.
