Lillian M. Viehman, nee Heyde, 89, of Belleville, IL, born March 11, 1928, in Trenton, IL, died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Viehman was a clerk at Illinois Power Company for 40 years before her retirement in 1980.  She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge Assembly 415.   She enjoyed water skiing, bicycling, and motorcycling.  Lillian loved to travel and visited every state in the U.S. and 10 foreign countries.  She loved to laugh, but most of all, she loved her family and all of her 18 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Harold Viehman, whom she married July 22, 1950, and who died March 20, 1991; her parents, Charles and Rose Elizabeth, nee Helmholt, Heyde; four sisters, Jean Anderson, Lorraine Schlich, Katherine Fluck, and Hazel Dent; and four brothers, Wilber Heyde, Albert “Buddy” Heyde, Fred Heyde, and Vern Heyde; and one brother-in-law, Ardell Viehman.

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Shirley (Stanley) Hawthorne and Nancy Viehman;
very special friends, Polli Allen, Gary Rojas, and Kevin Mahoney;
and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Charles McGhee officiating.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.

Dearest Aunt Lill, You and I had our differences through the years. You were a special lady in my life and I have loved you for many, many years. God Bless.
