Linda Pass
Print Obituary
Linda Marie Neff Pass, 49, of New Athens, IL, born August 11, 1965, in Belleville, IL died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at her home.

Mrs. Pass retired as a chef from the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows Restaurant in Belleville, IL.  Hopefully, many of you had a chance to taste her “soup of the day”.  Linda was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Smithton, IL.  She also really enjoyed her experience as a Boy Scout leader for St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Belleville.  She was always one of the guys.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Norman A Neff.

Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Randy Pass, whom she married on October 26, 1985;
her children, Sean Michael Pass and Lauren Elizabeth Pass, both at home;
her mother, Rosalie, nee Rausch, Neff of Smithton, IL;
her sister, Beverly (Kevin) Kaemmerer;
and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Linda always placed her friends and family before herself.  She found great joy in helping others.  She was always there to lend a helping hand even when her illness was at its worst.  Her family will miss her compassion and strength.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to your favorite charity or in the form of Masses.  If you can’t decide on an appropriate charity, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Smithton or the American Cancer Society are the family’s recommendations.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015, and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Smithton, IL.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10:45 am. Monday, February 9, 2015, from the funeral home for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Smithton, IL, with Father Kenneth York and Father Stanley Konieczny concelebrating.  Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Smithton, IL.
