Mae E. Etling, nee Guttersohn, 93, of Freeburg, IL, born June 6, 1922, in Freeburg, IL, died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Jerseyville Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Jerseyville, IL.
Mrs. Etling was an active member of the Monsanto Retirees Club. She was a former member and past president of the Freeburg Women’s Club. She worked at Kids Korner and the Belleville Dress Factory, both in Belleville, IL.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Myron J. Etling, who died on March 13, 1992; one son, David Etling; her parents, Louis and Emily, nee George, Guttersohn; a sister, Ruby Germann; a niece, Suzie Clark; and her son-in-law, Albert H. Kassing Jr.
Surviving are five children, Shirlene Kassing of Freeburg, IL,
Daniel (Diane) Etling of Minnesota,
and Jimmy (Patty) Etling of Freeburg, IL;
Vicky (Jeff) Dallas of Godfrey, IL,
and Tracy Mann of Spring, TX;
14 grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren;
one nephew, Tom Germann of Belleville, IL;
and other nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 17, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Robert Koch officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
