God called our dear mom, grandma, and great-grandma home. She was a homemaker and lovingly devoted to her daughter, Kimberly. Mom was the backbone of our family and our hearts are broken. We will be strong like her because she has entrusted the care of our precious sister, Kim, to us. Thank you, Lord for giving us a role model we are proud to call mom.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Kettler, whom she married May 15, 1945; her parents, Ernest and Mary, nee Meyer, Reichling; a granddaughter, Carrie Kettler; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Kettler; a daughter-in-law, Judy Kettler; three brothers, William, Albert and Donald Reichling; three sisters, Jeanette Walton, Dorothy Wishaar, and Helen Utz.
Surviving are her five children, Edward Kettler of Mascoutah, IL, Deborah (Steve) Kotras of Fairview Heights, IL, Mary (Virgil) Nunn of Belleville, IL, Peggy Steirer of Belleville, IL, and Kimberly Kettler of Belleville, IL;
nine grandchildren, Shannon (Jeff) Webster, Adrianne (Jonathan) Leonardelli, Elizabeth (Fiancé Spencer Harries) Kotras, Stacy (Josh Parks) Kettler, Tara Kettler, Robyn (Carl) Grissom, Nicole (Brandon) Hess, Lauren (Fiancé Corey Keys) Steirer, and Mike Steirer;
six great-grandchildren, Judy Kettler, Zoe and Christopher Parks, Ivy and Arlo Grissom and Matthew Keys;
two brothers, Jack (Emmy) Reichling and Wayne Reichling;
a sister, Jean (John) Bunch;
and nieces and nephews.
