A bit late but my snd my families sincere condolences. I remember living one street over when we all lived in Cahokia. Knew Phil and Marilyn well and Ernie and my dad were active in parish activities at St Catherine’s. Wonderful lady and family. I’ve been gone from Cahokia since 1997. Will always miss the friends I had and have lost track of. To Phil and Marilyn snd thier families may God bless and watch over you and your families.

Living in Venice was special to many of us. Some of us arrived later, but many of us grew up there. A smile, a kind word, or a friendship became a part of us and made us who we are. Whether we lived there recently or long ago, when we hear someone has passed on we feel a loss. Even if we did not know them personally, the fact they lived in Venice is important to us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you on the passing of Mrs. Zarlingo.

So sorry for your loss. I'm a close neighbor of her sister Catherine. Marie & Ernie came for visits almost every year. We looked forward to them too. Love & prayers. The children of Alfred and Theresia Sponer.

I grew up down the street from Marie and Ernie. They were wonderful neighbors. I then had the priveledge of having Marie as my mentor at my first job at Wild Goose in Cahokia. She was a loving person and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by many. Prayers of comfort to her whole family.
