Matthew worked at Roesch Enamel and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Donald and Juanita Summers.
Surviving are his wife, Rita A., nee Keammerer, Summers;
his children, Tammy (Scott) Goodman, Matt Summers,Christopher (Jackie) Summers, and Elisa Summers;
12 grandchildren, Jamie Sobczak (Jarae Weatherby), Brandon, Jakob, and Kristopher Summers, Ethan, Kadin, and Lucas Summers, Makayla Lipson, Bionka Summers, Keith Edwards, Caleb Summers, and Xavier Summers;
a great-grandson, Brayden A. Weatherby, and a brother, David (Patty) Summers.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, with full military honors.
