Norma was a teacher for Belleville Public School District #118. She loved her job and her teaching career spanned over three decades. She was a member of P.E.O., Delta Kappa Gamma Chapter Sorority, a member and former board member of the St. Clair County Historical Society, and a member of O’Fallon First United Methodist Church. Norma loved Broadway, theater, good food, shopping, and traveling with her husband, Fred. Her family was most important to her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Lt. Col. Fred P. Drayer, USAF Ret.; a stepdaughter, Valerie Holden; her parents, Bill and Virginia, nee Milor, Montgomery; her brother, Bill Montgomery; and two brothers-in-law, John Gillmore and John McClellan.
Surviving are her children, Bruce Gaston, Angie (John) Kinney, and their son, and special grandson to Norma, Elliot Kinney, Nicole Drayer, Michele Mullaney, and Suzanne (Michael) Scott;
five grandchildren, Victoria DeChane, Marissa (DJ) Martel, Marcus Drayer and Megan and Krista Mullaney;
two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Asher Martel;
a brother, John (Medessa) Montgomery;
and two sisters, Juanita McClellan and Ginger Gillmore;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Donald Long officiating.
Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
