Patti worked in public relations throughout her life. She was a member of the 623 Club. She enjoyed Facebook, a good card game, shopping, and spending time with her friends. Patti loved her grandchildren and a juicy story, especially one that needed her two cents at the end.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Trent; her parents, Charles Joseph Absher and Hazel Frieda, nee Herren, Absher-Neuner; and two brothers, Charles Absher and Robert Absher.
Surviving are two daughters, Angela M. Absher-Hooten (John Knobloch) of New Athens, IL,
and Tamara Lynn Teal (Billy J.) Engleman of Stafford, VA;
seven grandchildren, Tyler (fiancee, Sarah), Robert,
Andrew, Ashlyn, and Adam,
Paige, and Forster;
a great-granddaughter, Rosie;
three brothers, Larry Absher of Marion, IL,
Samuel (Marsha) Absher of Belleville, IL,
and James (Carleeta) Absher of St. Louis, MO;
a sister-in-law, Jeanne Absher of Decatur, IL;
and 37 nieces and nephews.
The Teal family wants to give a very special thank you to the staff at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea, IL, for the care they gave Patti. She loved it there and loved all the new friends she found there.
