Stephen Trentmann

Print Obituary
Stephen D. “Steve” Trentmann, 35, of Belleville, IL, born October 20, 1982, in Belleville, IL, died, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Steve was a caring, loving, and loyal husband, father, step father, son, son-in-law, brother, BIL, uncle, and godfather.  He worked for Keane’s Express Delivery Service as delivery driver #45. His laugh and jokester personality could fill a room.  He loved his family & friends so much; he would be there in the drop of the hat for any of them when they needed it. He was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him all the days of our lives.  May he rest in peace as he rides a Harley into the eternal sunset and reunites with his son Brock.

He was preceded in death by a son, in infancy, Brock; his paternal grandparents, Leo and Leona Trentmann; his maternal grandfather, Raymond Scharf; and his maternal step-grandfather, Bill Wagner.

Surviving are his wife, Renee, nee Cregger, Trentmann, whom he married September 30, 2016;
a stepson at home, Landon Blanquart;
his parents, David and Nancy, nee Scharf, Trentmann of Belleville, IL;
his mother in law Margaret “Peggy” Cregger of Breese, IL;
a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Giulio Cattozzo of Houston, TX;
twin nieces, Layla Cattozzo, and his goddaughter, Olivia Cattozzo of Houston, TX;
his maternal grandmother, Darlene, nee Muskopf, Wagner of Belleville, IL;
several aunts and uncles;
and numerous cousins.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, and again from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral Procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.

Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Nancy & Dave, We visited this chapel a few years back when Mel lost her sister. The sister at the chapel have been praying 24/7 for over 150 yrs. I contact them an this is Sister Sarah's reply. Your intentions for Stephen, RIP, are being prayed for every hour of the day and night in our Adoration Chapel.
