Mrs. Schuchart was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Anthony P. “Tony” Schuchart, whom she married on June 16, 1942, and who died on December 20, 1991; two daughters, Phyllis Goff and Diane Schuchart; her parents, Robert and Emma, nee Lippert, Rettinghouse; and two brothers, Alonzo C. Rettinghouse and George (Marcella) Rettinghouse.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Ida) Schuchart of Fairview Heights, IL;
six grandchildren, Stacey (Philip) Meister, Melissa (Brad Dahl) Schuchart, Geoffrey (Janice) Schuchart, Jennifer (Scott) Heitshusen, Robert Stein Jr., and Heather Stein;
and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10:40 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Christopher Anyanwu and Msgr. William McGhee concelebrating.
Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
