Harry F. Adamson, 95, of Freeburg, IL, born November 27, 1925, in Sparta, IL, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at his residence with his loving wife, Joyce, by his side.

Mr. Adamson proudly served in WWII as a Navy Seabee. He was also a faithful employee of Peabody for 52 years. After retiring in the year 2000, Harry enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandkids. Harry loved all animals, but especially his dogs Beno, Chauncey (I & II) and Chelsea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Florence F., nee Foster, Adamson; and his first wife, Fern, nee Walters, Adamson, the mother of Jon and Jane.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Joyce, nee Demick, Adamson, whom he married on July 6, 1970; three children, Jon (Betty) Adamson of Freeburg, IL, Jane (Joe) Behnken of New Athens, IL, and Nicole (Jay) McCullough of Belleville, IL; eight grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Jackson, Michael (Heather) Adamson, Tyler Adamson, Ethan McCullough, Caden McCullough, Grace McCullough, Lucy McCullough, and Addison Walker; many in-laws, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Joy and Ed Rick, and Krystal, Ian, and Ava Cathcart.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, or the Belleville Area Humane Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL.  Standard CDC guidelines will be followed, including masks and social distancing.

Funeral:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, with Father Von Deeke officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.

Dear family, Harry was my good neighbor many years ago when he lived on South St. in NA and we have been friends ever since. His 52 years with Peabody was truly amazing. I will be out of town Wed. but will keep all of you in my prayers. Pleas accept my deepest sympathy. He will be missed by all of us. LOREN
