I am so very sorry for your loss. i came to belleville for a short period of time in 6th grade, i was new at jefferson but amber became my friend instantly, she was so caring with the best humor that would make me laugh out loud. She made me feel accepted instantly. i remember getting invited over to her house and we just sat and talked laughed at stupid stuff on her phone since i had a tablet at the time, which she would make jokes about lol but never made me feel judged. She was genuinely the best friend i have ever had. u will forever be missed 🫶🏻a pure pure soul

I met Amber in my English 3-4 class and at the time, I was somewhat of a loner. I bounced from group to group and struggled to find who I was. Amber helped with that journey when she took me under her wing. She was one of the kindest, most genuine people I know. She helped me to understand empathy and use it well. I will forever be grateful to have known her and her family.

Although, I only worked with Amber for a short period of time. She was a hard worker at the job she was employed at and she asked and made sure others were okay… I wish I got the chance to know her more and become not only coworkers but friends with her. May she rest peacefully in heaven. ❤️

I remember the first time I met Amber, she came to try out for the WJH soccer team one afternoon, and was definitely nervous. She was shy at first, but I managed to get her to tell me she didn't really want to try out or play. I told her "well, just come out and run around with us, do your best, and, if after trying out, you really don't want to play, I can cut you from the team so you don't get any grief from anyone. She agreed, and proceeded to really get after it. After the session, she was all smiles and I asked her if she wanted me to cut her, to which she said "no", and she went on to be a regular starter, and one of our best contributors to our team's success. After Junior high, if I ever saw her out and about, she always said "hi" to me, and spent a few minutes catching up, and letting me know what she'd been up to. She was a lovely kid with a beautiful energy about her, it's no surprise that so many loved her. I tell the kids I've worked with that "we're family forever, no matter what", and even though I'm "just your coach", I've always made it clear to my players that they're all like my own kids. This is driven home more during times of celebration, and, unfortunately during times of loss. Although I hadn't seen her in a while, she was still one of my kids. Her loss has been profound, and I will carry this grief forever. I'm unable to attend her memorial service, so would like to extend my deepest, genuine sympathies to her family and friends. I cannot imagine the pain you must all be feeling at this moment. I will think about Amber always. -Coach Spencer

Amber was in my honors English 3-4 class her sophomore year. That group formed an unusually strong bond, and the kids have all stayed in touch with each other and me in the intervening years. Passionate and fiery, she was indeed, as well as curious, loyal, driven, empathetic, and brave. I cannot believe she is gone. My heart is with your family. Xo
