Mr. Simonin retired at the young age of 55 and was able to spend much time with his wife at the Lake of the Ozarks. He enjoyed family, and especially the grandchildren, at the lake. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and beating his grandkids at Skip-Bo. Larry and his dear wife, Margie, loved to travel all over the United States and took several international trips. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Holy Name Society at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman “Butch” and Lucille, nee Roediger, Simonin; a daughter, Michelle Lewis Garvin; two daughters-in-law, Diane Simonin and Toni Simonin; and a brother, Dennis Simonin.
Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Margie Ann, nee Jung, Simonin, whom he married August 22, 1953;
three children, Scott Simonin, Dawn (Kevin) Peil, and Bruce Simonin;
11 grandchildren, Stacy (Kaci) Simonin, Scott (Sara) Simonin II, Ryan (Ashley) Simonin, Dan Peil,
Kelly (Brent) Daubach, Kate (Eric) Sudol, Emily (Chad) Lauf, Christina Simonin (Mike Russell),
Monica (Tristan) Bullington, Mekenzie (Roy) Riley, and Leslie (Anthony) Lewis-Post;
14 great-grandchildren, Jameson, Thompson, Wilson, Westin, Amelia, Anna, Eli, James, Isabelle,
Camryn, Collin, Race, Silas, and Baby Girl Riley, due in January 2023;
and a sister-in-law, Rita Simonin.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2022, with Fr. Matthew Elie officiating.
