Jack worked as a maintenance foreman and later retired from Consolidation Coal Company in Pinckneyville, IL. Jack was the owner/operator of Jacks Auto Washette for 56 years. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, he served as an usher and was a member of the St. Joseph men’s club, he also, was the former chairman of the St. Joseph Parish picnic committee. Jack was a member of the Freeburg Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, and past president of the Freeburg Jaycees Club.
He is preceded by his parents, James H. and Flora, nee Weilbacher, Crowe; and two daughters-in-law, Tammy and Jennie Crowe.
Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years Anna Marie, nee Klein, Crowe, whom he married on November 24, 1954;
six children, Diane (Terry) Boyne of Freeburg, IL, Gene Crowe of Freeburg, IL,
Donna (AL) Lamere of Estero, FL, John Jr. (Amy) Crowe of Redbud, IL,
Michael (Cindy Heflin) Crowe of Mulberry Grove, IL,
and Debbie (Mike) Joseph of Smithton, IL;
11 grandchildren, Shane (Jodi) Krauss, Jessica (Denny) Tribout, Tyler (Brooke) Krauss,
Ashley (Andy) Rau, Amanda Crowe, Lauren Crowe, Michael (Megan) Crowe,
Brittany (Jordan) Kramper, Niki (Sam White) Wann, Chad (Sydney Slaby) Halloran
and, Conner (Kristin) Halloran;
14 great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Mary Louise (Darrell) May of Columbia, IL, and JoAnn Schaltenbrand of Belleville, IL;
a brother, James J. (Cherie) Crowe, of Creve Coeur, MO;
three sisters-in-law, Christy Lehr of Millstadt, IL, Margaret Schaefer of Waterloo, IL, and Dottie Kunkelmann of Smithton, IL;
a brother-in-law, Eugene Toenjes;
and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, with Fr. Von Deeke and Deacon Corby Valentine officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
