Mary Agnes was a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL. She worked for Schnucks Market, Swansea, IL, as a courtesy clerk before her retirement. She previously worked as a waitress and in the coal mines of southern Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Theresa, nee Peters, Mathews; five brothers, Joseph Lester, Cletus, John “Jackie”, Anthony, and Eugene Mathews; and five sisters, Lillian Hettenhausen, Teresa Wilson, Sister Mary Anthony ASC, Mary Rubenacher, and Margaret Erb.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph F. (Judy) Mathews;
and many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom Babe loved very much.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
