Albert E. Dolansky, 78, of Belleville, IL, born October 20, 1938, in Belleville, IL, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Albert worked at Bel-O Sales and Service Inc. as a bookkeeper and had worked at Belleville Bottling Company distributing Vess Cola and later for Gushleff Distributing/Pepsi Cola products prior to his retirement.  He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, where he was involved in the Men’s Club, was a Eucharistic Minister, and served as an usher for over 65 years.   Albert also was a member of Local #50, Local #525, Knights of Columbus, CSA Lodge Estlian #404, and the 1956 Class of Cathedral High School.

Mr. Dolansky was preceded in death by his parents, Edward M. and Mayme J., nee Kosar, Dolansky; a brother, Marvin W. Dolansky; a sister, Ruth Ann Caponi; and a brother-in-law, Robert Braun.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Ann E., nee Brinson, Dolansky, whom he married on May 5, 1960, at St. Phillip’s Catholic Church, East St. Louis, IL;
one son, Kevin M. (Beth) Dolansky of Belleville, IL;
one granddaughter, Sarah (Jared) Poettker;
two great-grandchildren, Aria Ann and Declan Joseph Poettker;
one sister, Alice Braun of Belleville, IL;
and a brother-in-law, Michael Caponi of Belleville, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Men’s Club or to St. Clair Associated Vocational Enterprises, Inc. (SAVE).  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:   A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Matthew Elie officiating.

Albert, you were a larger-than-life presence for as long as I can remember. Your joy in the Christmas season and all of your little seasonal toys will be greatly missed, this year and every year going forward. Rest now, Uncle Al. I’m sure Pepsi was waiting for you.
