Amy Jane Fraser, nee Helfrich, 86, of Belleville, IL, born January 13, 1931, in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Fraser formerly worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a committed and dedicated mother to her children. A member of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Amy was a volunteer at Cathedral Catholic Grade School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Fraser; her parents, William and Hilda, nee Neff, Helfrich; four brothers, Paul Helfrich, Fr. Emil Helfrich, O.M.I., Robert Helfrich, and Clifford Helfrich; a sister, Leona Helfrich; and her former husband, James D. Fraser.
Surviving are her four children, Jeanne Fraser of Belleville, IL,
Michael Fraser of Belleville, IL,
James (Susanne) Fraser of Shiloh, IL,
and Janelle (Kirk) Caponi of Millstadt, IL;
a daughter-in-law, Janice Fraser of Shiloh, IL;
twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Anna and John Fraser,
Brandon (Jessica) Fraser,
Erika (Matt) Hodge,
Kyle Fraser,
Mary, Anne Marie, Claire and Katherine Fraser,
and Dominic and Angelo Caponi;
four great-grandchildren, Samuel and Owen Hodge and another great-grandchild on the way, and Olivia and Isla Fraser;
a sister, Carol (Bud) Tilley of Chesterfield, MO;
a sister-in-law, Carol Lesko of Belleville, IL;
and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017, at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. John Myler officiating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
