Elizabeth Ann Volkman, nee Myrick, 84, of Belleville, IL, born March 31, 1933, in Bay Springs, MS, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Volkman worked at her family’s care center, Myrick Nursing Home in Caseyville, IL and at Four Fountains in Belleville, IL. as an LPN before her retirement.  She was a member of Westview Baptist Church, Belleville, IL.  Ann was an avid Cardinal’s fan, as well as a loyal Elvis Presley fan.  She enjoyed dancing, fishing and cooking, especially good southern cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Marvin A. Volkman, whom she married September 12, 1959, and who died June 19, 2006; her parents, Melvin and Elizabeth, nee Hembree, Myrick; four brothers, James Myrick, Joe (Dot) Myrick, Billy (Martha) Myrick, and Don Myrick; and by a beloved niece, Jenna Lynn Walters.

Surviving are her daughter, Marsha Ann (Kenny) Rogers of Maryville, IL.;
5 sisters-in-law, Sandy Bracey of Crystal Springs, MS, Naomi Myrick of Dallas, TX, Shirley Dauphin of Belleville, IL, Dorothy (Walter) Weik of St. Charles, MO, and Audrey Hassebrock of Mascoutah, IL;
a brother-in-law, Ronnie (Cathy) Volkman of Millstadt, IL;
a very dear longtime friend, Helen Doughty of Caseyville, IL;
and her precious angels, Lindsey Katz and Kelsey Hanson.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL., with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating.

An additional funeral service and committal will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at Memory Chapel, Laurel, MS., with Rev. Ken Hembree officiating.

Burial will be in Providence Cemetery, Stringer, MS.
