
Mr. Schindler held a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and worked as a network engineer for Enterprise Holdings. He was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Belleville, IL. Anthony loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking. Family time was especially important to him, whether it was spending time at home listening to music, sharing pool time with his wife Jane, or traveling with his family. He was a St. Louis Blues fan and stayed on top of his financials, making sure he was aware of any changes.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Donald Schindler.
Surviving are his loving wife of 41 years, Jane, nee Wilhelm, Schindler, whom he married on February 6, 1982; two daughters, Shelley (Robert) Chamberlain, and Sarah Schindler and her dear friend, Jacob Moorleghen; his mother, Judith, nee Tourajigian, Shafir; an uncle, William (Barb) Schindler; an aunt, Pat Zmolek; three sisters-in-law, Barbara (Pat) Pattberg, Mary (Steve) Trautt, and Joan (Roger) Wegener; many nieces and nephews; and cousins.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Michael Arockiam, Msgr. William McGhee, and Msgr. John Myer concelebrating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
