Mrs. Leard was a beautician in Freeburg for over 35 years. She was an avid dancer and card player, and enjoyed traveling. Arlene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John J. Zimmermann, who died on September 27, 1993; her second husband, Wallace Leard; her parents, Joseph and Cecilia, nee Rutz, Heimrich; and two sons-in-law, Kenneth Schweiger and James Wessel.
Surviving are a son, John P. (Janet) Zimmermann of Freeburg, IL;
two daughters, Marion Wessel of Freeburg, IL,
and Dianne Zimmermann of St. Louis, MO;
six grandchildren, Jeff (Nicky) Zimmermann,
Jodi (Shane) Krauss,
Debra (Paul) Schaefer,
James (Lynne) Schweiger,
and Christopher (Emma) Wessel;
seven great-grandchildren, Mason and Ian Zimmermann,
Renee (Greg) Muehlfeld,
and Kelsea and Jake Schweiger;
one great-great-grandchild, Asher Muehlfeld;
two brothers, Paul (Rose) Heimrich of Freeburg, IL,
and Larry (Karen) Heimrich of Shiloh, IL;
and nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, with Father Mark Reyling officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
