Ashley enjoyed reading, watching movies, and camping. She loved music, especially country music, but above all, she loved time spent with her son.
Ashley was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Peter E. Carlson; and her paternal grandparents, James and Gwen Smith.
Surviving are her son, Mark David Taft Jr.;
her father, Christopher J. Sr. (Tammy) Smith of Kinston, NC;
her mother, Tricia (Tom) Robinson of Belleville, IL;
a brother, Christopher James Jr. (Jessica) of Kinston, NC;
her maternal grandmother, Patricia Stitzel;
her maternal grandfather, Wilbur C. (Cheryl) Stitzel;
aunts and uncles, Lavaron (John) Howell, Jamie (Sean) James, Michael (Michelle) Stitzel, Amy Stitzel, Cliff (Terry) Smith, and Donnie (Julie) Stitzel;
and the father of her son, Mark David Taft Sr.
