My deepest sympathy to the family of Sister Audrey Ann. She was my favorite teacher at St. Agatha in New Athens. My mother would often drive Sister to places she needed to go. When Sister was in St. Louis, we would go over to visit her. She was a very special gift to all of us.

Sister Audrey Ann was 21 years old when she taught at St Agatha School, New Athens. And we loved her.. She taught me first, second and third grade. She was a wonderful teacher. And sometimes during recess she would pin up skirt and jump rope with the girls and also hit a few softballs with the boys. Over these last years, I would visit her at Assisted Living in Freeburg and the Assited Living on Hartman Lane. She was such a wonderful person. I will never forget her.

My sincere sympathy to the Arnold Family. I will truly miss all my talks with Sister. So glad I got to have the chance to reconnect with her these past years. Darlene and I enjoyed all our visits especially when we brought the grandkids to meet and visit with her. What a special visit they had with her. It’s very special now to know she’s With the Lord enjoying peace and comfort. Hopefully putting in a good word for us. Prayers and thoughts from her first grade student.

Sister Audrey was such a good friend to my sister Sharon Dietz. She was so sweet and kind to me after Sharon's death. I will always be grateful for her friendship. I remember her bringing her mom to Mass at St. Mary's every Sunday before her mom passed. God bless you Sister Audrey! You have definately earned your heavenly reward!!

I am so sorry to hear about Sister Audrey’s passing. We lived next door to Mrs. C. Arnold and we would visit with Sister when she would visit her Mom. My dad would always say to my Mom “ My girlfriend’s home”! My Dad grew up down the street from Sister and had a crush on her when they were kids. Sister Audrey was such a sweet, wonderful person. No matter what your age, Sister was at ease speaking with you. She was before her time! Our family loved Mrs. Arnold and Sister Audrey, she sits with God now! I am so sorry for your loss.

I found Audrey Ann through her sisters' marriage to my brother, James Vander Pluym. She was always friendly and interesting to talk with. She will be missed, but always remembered.

Ancient Prayer for the Departed Let us pray for the servant of God who has fallen asleep and is now resting in Christ; That God Who loves mankind and Who has received Audrey’s soul, forgives her all sins; May He be merciful and gracious to her and give her a place in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with all those who have pleased Him and fulfilled His will from the beginning of the World, where all sorrow, grief and tears are absent. Let us dedicate ourselves and one another to the eternal God, through Christ the Word, Who was with God in the beginning. You, Who are by nature immortal and without end to Your Being, from Whom every creature whether mortal or immortal has its origin, who made man a rational creature, the citizen of this world, in his nature mortal, but gave the promise of a resurrection; who did not permit Enoch and Elijah to taste death because the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is not the God of the dead, but of the living. For the soul of everyone lives with You, and the spirits of the righteous are in Your hand: Look now upon this Your servant whom You have received into Your Kingdom, forgiving her all sins committed in knowledge or in ignorance; place her in the mansions where the Patriarchs, Prophets, and Apostles dwell, and with all those who have pleased You since the beginning of the world, where the glory of Your Christ is seen; for all Glory, Honor, Worship, Thanksgiving and Adoration are given to You in the Holy Spirit, always now and unto the ages of ages. Amen! To the Lord belong the earth and its fullness, the world and all who dwell in it. O gaping earth, receive the body formed from you by the hand of God, again returning to you as to its mother. What has been made in His Image, the Creator has already reclaimed, O Earth, receive this body as your own. This grave is being sealed until the second coming of Christ, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen! In blessed repose, grant eternal rest, O Lord, to Your servant Audrey, who has fallen asleep, and make her memory eternal! Amen! Audrey Ann Arnold { Born: July 5, 1929; Fallen Asleep: October 8, 2020 } With the souls of the Righteous brought to perfection, O Savior, rest the soul of Your departed servant Audrey, keep her for the blessed life which comes from You, O Lover of Mankind. In your peace, O Lord, where all Your saints repose, rest the soul of Your servant Audrey. You are the God Who descended into the realm of death and loosed the bonds of its captives. May Christ our Immoral King and God, grant to His departed servant Andrey, the love and mercy of God, the kingdom of heaven, and the remission of all her sins. Amen. Give thanks to God for All Things! All things come from God and All things return to God.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I am very sad that I will no longer be able to talk, laugh and share tears with my friend. She was a great source of inspiration and comfort even in her trying times! While many will miss her, so glad she is finally at peace. Love you dear friend!!
