Audrey Virginia Jansen, nee Biekert, 96, of Bloomington, IL, formerly of Belleville, IL, born December 16, 1924, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Heritage Health, Bloomington, IL.
Mrs. Jansen was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. She was also involved with the Perpetual Help Society at church. She loved to read. Audrey was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Norman H. Jansen, whom she married May 14, 1949, and who died January 8, 2013; her parents, John and Mary, nee Weihrauch, Biekert; two sisters, Dorothy (Sherman) Aaron and Mary Ann (William) Berkel; a brother, John (Annie) Biekert; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Biekert.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Marie (Robert Ambrose) Jansen of Port Townsend, WA, and Sue Ann (Fred) Rettig of Heyworth, IL;
four grandchildren, Audrey (David Shangraw) West, Mollie West, Robby (Laura) Bauer, and Ryan Rettig;
three great-grandchildren, Sterling Shangraw, Brooks Bauer, and Quinn Bauer;
a brother, Paul Biekert;
and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. Standard CDC guidelines, including masks and social distancing, will be observed.
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Father James Thomas officiating.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
