Austin was an activity assistant at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL, where he was loved by all his “grandmas and grandpas”. Austin loved watching WWE, and this love was shared with his nephew, Hudson. He loved anything Marvel, DC Comics, or Star Wars. Austin was an avid collector of Funko Pops, having over 200 in his collection. Austin never met a stranger. He taught everyone about love and forgiveness. Austin was an inspiration to everyone through his bravery and his will to do things his way.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Juanita Pruett; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Shirley Robinson; and an aunt, Kimberly Juenger.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy (Scott), nee Pruett, Walters; his father, Gene Perkinson; a brother, Josh (Melissa Temple) Perkinson,; a sister, Chelsea (Zach) Bergmann; a brother, Braeden Perkinson; three nephews, Lewis Perkinson, and Henry and Hudson Bergmann; grandparents, June and Junior Spier of Tilden, IL, and Dixie Walters of Kevil, KY; his special friends, Billy, Donny and Cole; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and other friends.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Hospice of Southern Illinois, especially his primary nurse Liz, for their support and care throughout Austin’s final journey.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Freeburg, IL, with Rev. Brian Bradshaw officiating.
Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.
