Print Obituary

Surviving are four daughters and two sons, Agnes (John) Boul
and Anne (John) Ross , both of St. Louis, MO,
Walter (Sharon) Asbury of Trophy, TX,
Gene Asbury of O’Fallon, IL,
Mary (Keith) Hinkebein of Carmel, IN,
and Carolyn “Cary” (Gary) Sheerin of Caseyville, IL;
12 grandchildren, Kristen Wilburn,
Beth (Andrew) Woolery, Sam and Emily Asbury,
Katie (Justin) Svejkosky and Christina Boul,
Joe, Tom, and David Hinkebein,
and Annie, Maggie, and Luke Sheerin;
a great-grandson, Arthur Woolery;
a brother-in-law, John (Marge) Asbury of St. Louis, MO;
two sisters-in-law, Alice Zagorski of Collinsville, IL,
and Lou Bringaze of Belleville, IL;

My condolences to the Asbury family on your loss of Barb. As former classmate and member of the old Notre Dame group that lunched together each month, I looked forward to seeing Barb and was always impressed with her gentle and gentile manner. God bless your family as you cope with this loss!

I am typing this with tears, and am truly heart broken, and would like to express my sincere condolences and prayers to my life long friends, the Asbury family.

You know, I have so many great memories of growing up in our neighborhood. It seemed like most of the time the epicenter of all the fun was ‘at the the Asburys’. The basketball games, the wiffle ball games, the football games, playing ‘colored-eggs’, hide and seek, and all the great times we had there as kids – we were truly blessed, to say the least, to have the welcome, the patience, the guidance of your mother (and father) while all of these great times were happening!

I am truly sorry for you all, and God Bless You Barb Asbury for being there for us and steering us along!
