Mrs. Obst was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL. She had been a member of the Mothers Club at Zion Lutheran School and volunteered her time to deliver Meals-On-Wheels.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Alan R. Obst, whom she married on April 27, 1963, and who died on January 24, 2011; her parents, Floyd and Rosella, nee Bogner, Schmitz; and her brother-in-law, Walter Knepper.
Surviving are her daughter, Michele L. Obst of Belleville, IL;
her son, Bryan (Tina) Obst of Waterloo, IL;
two grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Obst;
and two sisters, Shirley (James) Obst and Mary Knepper, both of Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, at the funeral home with Rev. Darwin Schrader officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
