Betty Rothgangel

Betty M. Rothgangel, nee Francis, 86, of Belleville, IL, born March 2, 1930, in Iron Mountain, MO, died Friday, August 5, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center, Swansea, IL.

Mrs. Rothgangel worked as a bookkeeper for Aramark before her retirement.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ray Allen Rothgangel, whom she married on March 12, 1949, and who died on May 7, 1999; one son, Randy F. Rothgangel; her parents, Oscar E. and Lottie B., nee Munger, Francis; and a brother, Everett G. Francis.

Surviving are a son, Rex A. (Kathy) Rothgangel of Belleville, IL;
two daughters, Ricki Ann (John) VanCalcar of New Orleans, LA,
and Jill (Ron) Wegener of Belleville, IL;
five grandchildren, Ella (Chris) Rothgangel-Nahm,
Matthew (Trisha) Rothgangel,
Niki (Steve) Johnson,
Mike (Jen) Wegener,
and Jenny (Jake) Bywater;
five great-grandchildren, Reese and Tommy Rothgangel,
Noel Nahm,
Isaac Bywater,
and Chase Wegener;
and two brothers, Kenneth J. (Ruth) Francis of Stone Mountain, GA,
and Ben E. (JoAnne) Francis of Pilot Knob, MO.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Darwin Schrader officiating.  Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
