BettyJo Voss, nee Combs, 61, of Belleville, IL, born March 22, 1960, in Oak Harbor, WA, died Saturday, July 31, 2021, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

BettyJo was a BTHS West graduate, Class of 1978. She then attended King School of Beauty and worked as a hairdresser for 6 years. Most recently she worked as a supervisor and office assistant at Belleville Grade School and High Mount Grade School.  BettyJo took great pride in helping raise her granddaughter by babysitting and caring for her from infant to toddler.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Combs; a brother, Jeff Combs; her grandmother, Daisy Combs; and her father-in-law, James F. Voss.

She is survived by her husband, David Voss; a daughter, Shannon Voss; a granddaughter, Lilah Rose Weinhause; her mother, Patricia Mudd; two sisters, Diana Morgan and Christy Carter; two brothers, James Combs and Scott Combs; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Private Family Visitation:  Visitation for family only will be held 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Public Visitation: Friends may visit from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Dave and family...we were so sorry to hear of Betty Jo's passing. She was a wonderful person, kind and loving and we will miss seeing her at the Union functions. Mary and Roger, Dave, and Mark and family (Munie)

I'm so very sorry to learn of the loss of my best friend's mother. My heart goes out to you and the entire family, Shannon. Lilah loved her sooo much! She will be greatly missed. I'm here for you all, just a few hours away :)

I have so many fond memories of BettyJo and her brothers and sisters from the MYF youth group at St. Matthew UMC. Prayers that you are able to experience some comfort in your own treasured memories and the love and prayers expressed here by others.
