Brent Allen Hoelscher, 58, of Belleville, IL, born June 23, 1958, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at his residence.

Mr. Hoelscher was a sales representative in the tobacco and merchandizing industry.  A devout man, he found peace in prayer and enjoyed creating moments of peace and joy where people could laugh.  He has beaten the odds time and time again and enjoyed all sports. He was the founding member of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Breakfast Club and his true love was his granddaughter.

Brent is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Teresa Stanley Hoelscher, whom he married on September 29, 1984;
two sons, Randoll Paul Hoelscher (fiancée Jessica Blum) of Belleville, IL,
and Michael David Hoelscher of Martin, TN;
a granddaughter, Kendal Rae Hoelscher;
his parents, Verle and Matilda Ruth, nee Nadolski, Hoelscher of Belleville, IL;
a brother, Dale Hoelscher (Julie Shields) of Shiloh, IL;
two sisters, Lisa (Vernon) Gaal of Maryville, IL,
and Janice (Tim) Williams of Florissant, MO;
and many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kendal Rae Hoelscher college fund, in care of Catholic & Community Credit Union, 6100 West Main Street, Belleville, IL 62223, or to Backstoppers.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Funeral:  A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. David Uribe O.M.I. officiating.
