Bruce was a self-employed small engine repair mechanic for many years. He was a voracious reader of many subjects with a particular interest in military history. He was known for a dry sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with many friends who stopped by to visit.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Vierheller; his maternal grandparents, Edward “Pop” and Emelie, nee Schoenborn, Cortner; and his paternal grandparents Leo and Mathilda “Tilly”, nee Kloess, Vierheller.
Survivors are his wife of 30 years, Catherine, nee McGrath, Vierheller, whom he married on September 13, 1991; his mother Myrtle, nee Cortner, Vierheller; sister, Nancy Ann McNay; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; numerous cousins.
