Carole Ludwig

Carole A. Ludwig, nee Otte, 87, of Belleville, IL, born December 30, 1935, in Sparta, IL, died Friday, June 23, 2023, at St. Paul’s Senior Community, Belleville, IL.

Mrs. Ludwig was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL. She was active in the Mothers’ Club and PTA.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Norman L. Ludwig, whom she married on June 29, 1957, and who died on February 13, 2010; her parents, Edwin and Lorene, nee Lindenberg, Otte; and a brother, Robert Otte.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Scott) Chain of St. Pete Beach, FL, Jim Ludwig of Belleville, IL, and Ken (Jo) Ludwig of Dardenne Prairie, MO, six grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Ludwig, Carter and Nicole Chain, Lauren Lee, and Carolyn Huninghake; great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Sandy Otte; a daughter-in-law, Laura Ludwig of Belleville; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral:  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Darwin Schrader officiating.

Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
