Butchie & “Uncle” Kenny were part of our lives in so many ways. Cathedral baseball team, Mother’s Club, our special gourmet dinners at the rectory, our crafting. When Kenny retired and was looking for a part time job, I was working at Busch Stadium & encouraged him to join the usher staff and the Metze’s invited many Belleville friends to join them. I’m sure Kenny & Carolyn are dancing in heaven. May she rest in eternal peace.

My condolences to the Metze family members as you mourn another loss. Carolyn was a huge supporter of the Metro East Community Chorale. She never missed a concert and for years she operated the recorder to record every one of our concerts. Carolyn and Kenny made such a great pair. It is comforting to know they are together again with their two sons.

Butchie was one of my closest friends from Cathedral Grade School through high school at Notre Dame Academy. I still recall fondly the day I took Butchie to meet Kenny who was working in the shoe dept. at J. C. Penney on Main Street. They connected immediately, and the rest is history! I will always treasure my beautiful memories of Butchie and Kenny. Peace, my friends.

Carolyn was a very spirited lady. She loved the Cardinals and with Kenny by her side it was a perfect place for them to usher together! I had the pleasure of working with them for many years at Busch Stadium! Such a lovely couple! Be in Peace Carolyn with your Kenny and sons❣️

Dear Metze family, We have lost a dear, lovely, sweet friend. Personally, I always felt so cared about by "Butchie". She and Kenny were like big brother and sister to Pat and me. And, so very good to our sons, Kevin and Keith, as they grew up. Please know that we share in your loss. Our love and prayers are with you all. Margie
