Cathi worked for the United States Postal Service for 29 years. She enjoyed seeing her many patrons every day and always had a smile on her face when she delivered their mail. After a day of delivering the mail, she would go enjoy a cold beer at the Barn with her postal friends.
Family was everything to Cathi. She enjoyed life and was happy and welcoming to everyone. She made people feel special and treated them like family. On a typical day, she would talk to her dad, sisters, sons and daughter at least once.
Cathi was a fun person to be around. She enjoyed throwing pool parties at her house, playing cornhole in a league with friends, hosting family occasions, and going to Cardinal games. Cathi and her daughter Kalli were inseparable; they were best friends. No one can take a mother’s place, but especially in the case of Cathi. They had no secrets, they told each other everything and she will be missed more than we know.
Cathi was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline M., nee Powell, Eglseder; nephew, Michael Eglseder; and her long time boyfriend, Doug Dunlap.
Surviving are four children, Ryan Seib, Adam (Addy) Seib,
Kalli Heise, and Jill Guest;
her father, Ray Eglseder of Belleville, IL;
one brother and two sisters, Jay Eglseder,
Gina Brouk,
Karla Rednour;
nieces and nephews, JJ Eglseder, Cody, Austin and Jess Brouk,
Rylie, Jordan, and Chas Rednour;
two great-nieces and a great-nephew, Talia, Michael, and Maddy Eglseder;
special sisters, Kelly Schneider, Julie Brouk, and Rita Peet;
and many, many friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Fr. Stanley Konieczny officiating.
Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.

I met Cathi back in the 80’s at Magna Bank. We became friends and have remained friends all of these years. I will miss her dearly. Words cannot express. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of her family especially her children Adam,Ryan and Kalli.I have so many great memories with your mom that I will treasure forever.
