Charles Frederick “Charlie” Kaemmerer III, 26, of Belleville, IL, born May 4, 1989, in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, January 30, 2016, at his residence.

Charlie was a 2007 graduate of Belleville Township High School West.  He was a friend to all and loved to help people in need, especially the homeless, but his greatest joy came as being a father to his two children. He worked as a handyman in the construction industry.  He was a member of Union United Methodist Church.  Charlie was a talented artist, loved hunting and sports of all kinds including bowling with his family and skateboarding.  He especially loved to travel.  He had been active in Boy Scouts of America while he was in school.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Virginia Kaemmerer; and his maternal grandfather, Jimmie Breakfield.

Surviving are two children, Hunter Charles Kaemmerer,
and Mandolin Mercy Petterson-Kaemmerer of Swansea, IL;
his parents, Charles F. Jr. and LeAnna Marie, nee Breakfield, Kaemmerer, of Belleville, IL;
one brother, Richard Charles (Jennifer) Kaemmerer of Belleville, IL,
and their children, Kiersten Keeney,
Cailyn Kaemmerer,
and Teresa Kaemmerer;
grandparents, Charles Kaemmerer Sr. of Belleville, IL,
and Dianne (Marvie) Simmons of Belleville, IL;
step-grandmother, Catherine Breakfield of Hoover, AL;
his girlfriend, Brittany Montgomery of DeSoto, MO,
and her son, Brayden Hobbs;
aunts and uncles;
cousins;
and his beloved friend, Jeremiah Boyce.

Memorials may be made to an education fund for Charlie’s children, in care of LeAnna Kaemmerer.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation:  Friends may visit from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral:  Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Weston officiating.
