Mr. Pees worked for Harmony School District 175 for 24 years as a custodian. He was a member of the Villa Hills Sons of the American Legion Post 1255 and was a sportsman who loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry H. Sr. and Dorothy E., nee Santel, Pees; a brother, Henry H. Pees, Jr.; and a sister, Carol Tremaine.
Surviving are two sons, Charlie H. Jr. (fiancée Brittney Schumer) Pees, and Cody Pees of Edwardsville, IL;
a daughter, Claire Pees of Freeburg, IL;
his fiancée, Mary Phelps of Belleville, IL;
two grandchildren, Kinsley Pees, and Konnor Daly;
and two sisters, Cathy Pees of Tyler, TX, and Cindy Pees of Red Bud, IL.
