Christina spent many years of her life as a caregiver, providing an at-home daycare, and working as a cleaner in client’s homes. Her greatest joy throughout her life was taking care of her family and friends, and spending time with those most dear to her. She would light up seeing her immediate family members, nieces and nephews, dearest neighbors, and lifelong friends. She made time for everyone. Whether it was a casual cup of coffee or a large life event, Chris would be there to support and soak up every moment or memory.
Chris had a special way of finding connections with people. She was personable and thoughtful, always remembering everyone’s names and fun details about their lives. She genuinely took an interest in others and was a stranger to no one. Chris will be known for always having open arms, a kind heart, and taking the time to listen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Betty, nee Vollmer, Brennan; and a brother, Kevin Brennan.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Robert “Bob” Hursey, Sr., whom she married on May 11, 1973; two sons, Robert II “Rob” (Kerry) Hursey and Jeffrey “Jeff” (Kay Renner) Hursey; a grandson, Harrison Hursey and baby Hursey due in November; step-grandsons, Reilly and Connor Harper; a brother, Bill Brennan (Phyllis); two sisters, Kathy (Richard) Barbee and Marty (Jamie) Haas; a sister-in-law, Shelly Brennan; and many loving nieces and nephews, including their spouses and children.
